Cathedral is a group of British doom metal, from Coventry, England>. The group became popular with its first album, Forest of Equilibrium , considered by the specialized press as a classic of the genre>. After nine studio albums and many tours over two decades, Cathedral breaks up after the release of The Last Spire in 2013.
The group was founded in 1989 by Lee Dorrian, former singer of Napalm Death, Garry Jennings of Acid Reign and Mark Griffiths who was roadie for Carcass >>>. Four years later, Cathedral signed with their current label, Nuclear Blast>.
On February 6, 2011, Cathedral decides to separate. Singer Lee Dorian explains "It's just time to bow down. Twenty-one years is very long, and it is almost a miracle that we could turn so long! The band records a last studio album released in April 2013, "lang =" en "> The Last Spire .
