Chelsea grin

Chelsea Grin is an American deathcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Chelsea Grin is originally trained by Alex Koehler and former group members as Ahaziah. Early members include Alex Koehler, guitarist Chris Kilbourn, bassist Austin Marticorena and guitarist Michael Stafford. Marticorena will introduce Andrew Carlston to Chelsea Grin and assist with the rewrite of their songs. They thus publish their first album of the same name on iTunes, then on CD format) the international on July 27, 2008>. At the beginning of their career, they publish the songs Crewcabanger and Lifeless , two singles well received on Myspace>.

After the success of their first album in July 2008, their signature label Statik Factory Records, and a few tours to the west of the country, Austin Marticorena (bass) left the band for personal reasons. The group is temporarily recruiting Jake Harmond on bass as they try to find a full-time bass player. Shortly after, the group meets Andrew Carlston, and Kory Shilling takes his place. In April 2009, Carlston returned to the group and replaced Shilling. The group later participated in a short Canadian tour in June 2009 with The Agonist, A Plea for Purging, Arsonists Get All the Girls and their friends at Statik Factory, Attila. After the tour, Jake Harmond decides to become a full-time member, and the band signs a contract with Artery Foundation representatives Mike Milford and Eric Rushing who welcome Chelsea Grin to the recording studios, Lambesis Studios, for their first album in "> Desolation of Eden in San Marcos, California, August 2009.

The album is produced by the studio's founder and singer for As I Lay Dying, Tim Lambesis. A week before their entry into the studio, guitarist Davis Pugh is dismissed from the group, and replaced by Dan Jones, a member of another Salt Lake City group, Hermione.

After the recording of Desolation of Eden , the band embarked on their first American tour alongside Dr. Acula, American Me, and Attila. "Desolation of Eden" was released on February 16, 2010, and reached the 21> place of Billboard Top Heatseekers with 1,500 copies sold the first week>. With the success of their debut album, the group is well received by the trade press as local newspapers in Utah, and others national and international magazines>.
