Chickenfoot

Chickenfoot is a super hard rock band from Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico. He was formed in 2008 by Sammy Hagar (former Van Halen and Ronnie Montrose), Michael Anthony (former Van Halen), Joe Satriani and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).

On August 26, 2011, Chad Smith announced his departure from the group in a video where he introduced the new drummer Kenny Aronoff. The third album, Chickenfoot LV, represents the return of Chad Smith in the group. The group's name and associated logo refer to a pejorative term, "the American chicken footprint," used to describe the symbol of peace.

The group was formed in 2008, "by accident" according to the four members, after several jams at the Hagar's Club, located in Mexico City. "We were just having fun," says Michael (bass). "After Sammy (singing) and I left Van Halen, we met other musicians, and something seemed to be born between us. Chad (battery) arrived a little later, and we got on well with him. Little by little, we started talking about doing something more concrete, but we still lacked a guitarist. Someone really clean - who could send us to the Promised Land. "

Satch (Satriani's nickname) then enters the room, and begins to chat with the rest of the group. According to the guitarist, he feels at this time "an incredible connection that I had never experienced before". And after a few tries together, "it was just obvious that we were holding the ultimate training. There remained only one question: could we make a good album? ">
