City and colour

City and Color is a parallel acoustic music project founded by Dallas Green, guitarist and singer of Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. His project began in 2006 in St. Catharines, Ontario and the band's lineup includes Spencer Burton, Daniel Tavis Romano (Attack in Black singer and guitarist) and Matt Sullivan.

The name City and Color comes from its own name: Dallas and Green. His reason for using this name is that he was uncomfortable with "publishing the album as Dallas Green".

Green has been composing and writing since the age of 14.> About the songs on his first album, Sometimes, Green said he wrote songs for him throughout his life and he had finished composing the songs in 2005>.

Dallas Green, started publishing City and Color songs on the internet. He compiled and rewrote several for his first album, Sometimes. The latter was released on November 1, 2005 and was well received by critics, described by some as "dynamically gentle and vulnerable". The cover of the album was designed by Scott McEwan in a style reminiscent of Green's tattoos. The latter said he "could later decide to ink some">.
