Crown the empire

Crown the Empire is an American metalcore band from Dallas, Texas.

Crown the Empire was formed in July 2010 by Andrew Velasquez, Austin Duncan, Hayden Tree, and Brandon Hoover while at Colleyville Heritage High School. The band forms when "Brandon and Austin have decided to jam together>. The group's ultimate goal was to become the heavier group in their perimeter. Alex Massey originally became the drummer of the band before being replaced by Brent Taddie in May 2011. In 2011, the members of Crown the Empire are looking for a guitarist. They recruit Bennett Vogelman (Benn Suede).

They publish their first EP, Limitless, in 2011. Limitless is published on November 29, 2011 on iTunes>. On December 5, 2011, the band released a behind-the-scenes shoot of their upcoming video clip Voices, from EP Limitless. In the video, the group announces the release date of the video scheduled for December 11>. As announced, they post the video on their YouTube page. On December 24, 2011, they released a cover of the song Let It Snow on YouTube>.

On December 31, 2011, the group released a video of the acoustic version of their song Wake Me Up>.

On January 17, 2012, the group announces its first American tour with A Skylit Drive. It takes place from March 3rd to 7th, first in Arizona, then in Arkansas. On March 21, 2012, rumors circulated that the band would have signed at Rise Records, which Crown the Empire later confirms. On March 23, 2012, they announce the video Viva La Rise! and a cover of Moves Like Jagger>.
