Crucified barbara

Crucified Barbara is an old band (or girls band ) of Swedish heavy metal from Stockholm. Composed of Mia Coldheart, Klara Force, Ida Evileye and Nicki Wicked, this quartet produces music described as a mix of heavy metal, thrash metal and hard rock. The group announced its separation on its Facebook page on June 14, 2016.

Ida Evileye and Klara Force play together for the first time in the mid-1990s, when they are only fourteen years old. After a stint in a hard rock band, Nicki Wicked joins them. The arrival of Joey Nine in 1998 freezes the formation: Joey on vocals, Ida on bass, Klara on guitar and Nicki on drums. The music produced is akin to punk rock.

In 2001, with the arrival of Mia Karlsson, second guitarist of the group, they signed their first contract with Warner Music Group / Chapel Scandinavia following a concert given on a boat in Sweden. They adopt the name of Crucified Barbara at the Roskilde Festival inspired by an inflatable doll (barbara in Swedish) perched on a cross. Joey's departure in 2003 pushes Mia to try singing. The band's sound is also evolving towards a more metal style. Thanks to the GMR Music label, the first recordings take place in the spring of 2004 at Pama studios in Kristianopel, Sweden. Mankan Sedenberg is the producer and sound engineer. In Distortion We Trust , their first studio album, appeared in Sweden on January 19, 2005, then in several other European countries including the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Belgium. The single Losing the Game , whose clip is directed by M Industries, was released on December 8, 2005 and became eighth in the Swedish bestseller ranking> .

Released on February 11, 2009, the second album, "Til Death Do Us Party , offers titles with more maturity while keeping the energy and the spontaneity of the first. Thus, there are two power ballads: Jennyfer and Danger Danger . Their third studio album, The Midnight Chase , goes on sale May 28, 2012 in Europe, and June in North America>. In May 2013, the group turns its trip to Paris, France>.
