D espairs ray

EspairsRay , formerly stylized DéspairsRay or + DéspairsRay + , is a Japanese industrial metal band tinged with visual kei. Formed in 1999, the group becomes a staple of the Japanese rock scene / visual kei, also creating a good reputation on the international scene. The band broke up in 2011, and reformed very briefly for a concert in 2014.

The name of the group comes from despair (despair) and ray (glow). D'espairsRay sees himself as a group creating his own visual rock by being influenced by artists out of motion >>>. For a long part of their career, the members have ostensibly androgynously grown their way to provoke a feeling of fear and desire.

Musically, the band opts for industrial metal music, nu metal and alternative rock, both heavy, energetic, sensual, tinged with elements of electronic music and pop. Their music can be close to that of Marilyn Manson, KoRn, Orgy, Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, HIM, Enter Shikari. The dominant feature is clearly in the industrial metal category, trend Marilyn Manson. In this alchemy mix lyrical and loud voices "post-coreuses" , electronic samples and synthetic rhythms and industrial heady, frantic guitars and raging muscular riffs, industrial cold synthesizers, arpeggios acoustic and hypnotic refrains.

The group was formed on September 9, 1999. Their first concert took place on September 24, during an event at the Takadanobaba Area. The first maxi-single of the group takes time to arrive. It was done on October 21, 2000. His name is Kumo. The CD is reissued on April 1, 2001, when a second Genwaku maxi-single is released. The first edition of only 1,000 copies is fully sold, just by reservation. A second press is then put on sale the same day to meet the many requests.
