Dashboard confessional

Confessional Dashboard is an American emo group, originally from Boca Raton, Florida.

The first release of Dashboard Confessional is The Swiss Army Romance, which was originally a solo project of Chris Carrabba during his period with the group Further Seems Forever. The following year, Further Seems Forever, with Chris Carrabba, recorded and released his first album, The Moon is Down. Carrabba leaves shortly after the band to record his second solo album, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, and an EP, So Impossible; both published under the name Dashboard Confessional.

In 2002, three musicians joined the group, of which a former member of Further Seems Forever, Jerry Castellanos, began to prepare a new album together. After the success of his second album, Carrabba will play MTV Unplugged.

Also in 2002, the Screaming Infidelities video won an MTV2 award at the MTV Video Music Awards, ahead of Norah Jones, The Strokes, The Hives, Nappy Roots, and Musiq >>>. This video features Chris on screen and in the screenplay. The video is directed by Maureen Egan and Matthew Barry.

In 2003, the band released its third album, A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar. Ranked second in the US Billboard rankings, the album is the band's biggest hit to date. At the end of 2003, Dashboard Confessional toured Brand New >>>>>.
