Del Amitri is a Scottish rock band formed in 1980 by singer and bassist Justin Currie under the name of Del Amitri Rialzo. The simplified name of Del Amitri is adopted three years later after changes in staff, including the arrival of guitarist Iain Harvie, composer, with Justin Currie, the majority of songs.
The group split in 2002 before reforming in 2013.
Del Amitri is enjoying success since 1989 with his second album Waking Hours, notably in the United Kingdom. The group made its name in the United States thanks to hits such as Kiss This Thing Goodbye, Always The Last to Know and Roll to Me, which reached the 10th place of the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995.
