Diana Krall , born Diana Jean Krall on November 16, 1964 in Nanaimo, British Columbia (Canada), is a Canadian jazz pianist and singer.

Diana Krall was born into a family of musicians in Nanaimo, Canada. She learns to play piano at age four. At school she starts playing in a small jazz band. The large collection of recordings of his father, James, introduced him to the music of many legendary artists. At age fifteen, she regularly plays at several restaurants in Nanaimo.
At age seventeen, she was awarded a Vancouver International Jazz Festival Scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she spent three years.
