Andrey Leonidovich Shirman , born May 23, 1982 in Perm, better known by his stage name Smash ,
is a Russian disc jockey who composes electronic music.
In 2004, he joined the Zima Project group in 2003, a springboard for his DJ career. Winner of a Night Life Award, named best dance album in 2008 at the MTV Russian Music Awards, he released in 2010 the re-adaptation in English of his hit Moscow Never Sleeps, which allows him to perform in all major places of world clubbing, especially at the VIP Room in Saint-Tropez. Follower of a rhythmic and enthusiastic progressive-trance, his latest album New World received good reviews.
Smash is the most famous Russian DJ in his country. He was selected to compose one of the official anthems of the Soshi Winter Olympic Games.
