Entombed

Entombed is a Swedish death metal band from Stockholm. Entombed begins his career in the Scandinavian death metal scene that initially differentiates himself from his American competitor. Entombed has been influenced by bands such as Slayer, Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Autopsy, Repulsion, Kiss, The Misfits, Motörhead and Discharge.

The band was originally formed in 1987 as Nihilist by Nicke Andersson and Alex Hellid. They begin their career as pioneers of the Scandinavian death metal scene. The first album Left Hand Path makes Entombed a cult band of Swedish death metal>. The following, Clandestine , is the logical continuation of Left Hand Path ; both albums are mentioned by some for their guitar sound electric saw .

From Wolverine Blues , the band begins to move away from the death metal of its beginnings. Entombed to a mix of hard rock, heavy metal and death metal, often described as death 'n' roll. Wolverine Blues is considered a classic death metal of the 1990s>.

The change of style is amplified with "To Ride", Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth (1997), last album with Nicke Andersson (party to found the Hellacopters )>. It's also the album that ends their record label problem. Same Difference , published in 1998, is in complete rupture with the original style of Entombed, and will be decried by the fans of the first hour>. In 2000, Uprising is a homecoming even if it incorporates punk elements. The following year came out, heavily influenced by Slayer and the band's recent tour with The Haunted. This disc is considered by some as the best album since Left Hand Path>. With the album Inferno , published in 2003 the group does not innovate, continuing in the same direction. In 2004 Uffe Cederlund joined Disfear and announced his departure from Entombed the following year. 2006 attends the release of the EP When in Sodom on June 6 (or 06/06/06)>.
