Eric bibb

Eric Bibb or Eric "Nek Tomer" Bibb (born August 16, 1951 in New York) is an American blues singer-songwriter based in London.

His career began in Europe. His father is Leon Bibb, a folk singer living in Vancouver.

Eric Bibb's music is rooted in blues, but features elements of folk, country, gospel and soul music. He has been nominated once for the Grammy Awards and twice for the WC Handy Award for his solo recordings.

Eric Bibb was born in New York to a family of musicians. Eric's father, Leon Bibb, was a singer and made a name for himself in the 1960s on the New York folk scene; his uncle was pianist and jazz composer John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet.

Pete Seeger, Odetta and Paul Robertson were all friends of the family, the latter, Paul, being the godfather of young Eric.
