Finger Eleven is a Canadian rock band from Burlington, Ontario. Formed in 1990>. the group is initially called The Rainbow Butt Monkeys, and is known thanks to the songs One Thing and Paralyzer .
Their album, Them vs. You vs. Me , published in 2007, includes the single Paralyzer , which reaches the Canadian Hot 100, the 6> place of the American rankings, and the place of Australian rankings. The band won a Juno Award in the category "rock album of the year" in 2008. It is certified gold in the United States, and platinum in Canada . Their sixth album, Life Turns Electric , was released on October 5, 2010. Their seventh album, Five Crooked Lines , is published on July 31, 2015, and includes the single Wolves and Doors .
The group is trained at Lester B. Pearson High School in Burlington, Ontario as Rainbow Butt Monkeys. They are subsequently popularized nationwide. Their first album, Letters from Chutney, was released in 1995. It is recorded as The Rainbow Butt Monkeys, thanks to the money won at the Southern Ontario's Best Rock on CHTZ-FM. The singer, Scott Anderson, began composing songs at the age of 16.
The group finds a new management team with Coalition Entertainment (Rob Lanni and Eric Lawrence, with Sarah Parham) in 1996. Then they realize that their music is changing and want to be taken more seriously and The Rainbow Butt Monkeys is becoming Finger Eleven. The name Finger Eleven comes from an old version of the song Michelle's Song from the album Tip . Scott Anderson explains where the name comes from: "When everything pushes you in one direction and your instinct leads you into another - that's it Finger Eleven < / span>, I can not get this out of my mind>. The revelation album, lang = "en"> Tip , was released under the label Mercury Records in Canada in 1997 and came out under the Wind-up Records label. in the United States in 1998. This album also marks a change in the sound of the band. Tip is produced by Arnold Lanni (Our Lady Peace). Meanwhile, they manage to turn alongside groups like Creed and Fuel.
