Five for fighting

Five for Fighting is the stage name of the American singer John Ondrasik , from California.

Five for Fighting is John Ondrasik's stage name. During his youth, he decides that he wants to be a pianist, in the tradition of Elton John and Billy Joel. It adopts the stage name "Five For Fighting" - an expression in ice hockey used when a player is sent off the rink for five minutes by the referee for a fight.

In 1997, his first album Message for Albert was produced by EMI. In 2000, Five for Fighting signed with Columbia Records and directed America Town in September 2000. The album initially had a small impact, but Superman (It's Not Easy) became a hymn after the 9/11 attacks. Ondrasik performed the song at the concert for New York City later in 2001. Five For Fighting participates in the charity album Live in the X Lounge IV.

His third album The Battle for Everything ranks 20> in the top 200 in February 2004. The first single 100 Years has arrived 1> on the US charts; we find it in particular in the series Scrubs (season 5) or to close the very last episode of the series JAG (season 10 episode 22). Ondrasik directed Two Lights in 2006. The album has a considerable success notably with the single The Riddle.
