Freak kitchen

Freak Kitchen is a Swedish progressive metal band from Gothenburg. Their high technical level often leads people to compare their style to progressive metal. Nevertheless, the power and the rhythm, the pop appearances and the perennial amusement perceptible in their music, make of this trio, a group of heavy metal accessible to all.

Freak Kitchen was formed in 1992. It was originally intended to be a Danish band formed alongside AOR Skagarack producer Torben Schmidt, with the leader Mattias Eklundh>. Before joining the Fate band, Eklundh and drummer Joakim Sjöberg were members of the Swedish band Frozen Eyes, in which they recorded several demos in 1988>. In 1993, the band began recording their first studio album, Appetizer , published in 1994>. It is followed in May 1996 by a second studio album, Spanking Hour . He himself is followed by a third studio album, Freak Kitchen in 1998.

In January 2003, Freak Kitchen is announced at the Headway Festival in the Netherlands>.

Freak Kitchen releases its sixth album, Organic , on April 27, 2005, featuring Ron Thal, Bumblefoot singer / guitarist>. In January 2006, the band is confirmed for the ProgPower USA VII festival held September 15 and 16 the same year at Earthlink Live in Atlanta, Georgia. They then board the Clinic Tour at the end of 2006>. On September 28, 2007, they are announced at Linköping Jazz Orchestra> in Konsert & Kongress, Linköping, Sweden. In October 2009, the band released the album Land of the Freaks .
