Galneryus

Galneryus lang = "ja"> / span>, Garuneriusu > ) is a power metal band> and neo-classical metal> Japanese, from Osaka. The story of this band began in 2001 with Syu (guitar) and Yama-B (vocals), following their meeting.

The story of this band starts in 2001 with Syu (guitar) and Yama-B (vocals), following their meeting >>>. Both veterans of the metal scene, they formed Galneryus with the intention "to express both their musical tastes and ideas," they then seek other musicians to complete the group.

After playing with other bands such as Fairy Mirror, Mephistopheles, Galactica Phantom, Mastermind, and Concerto Moon, Galneryus returns to the studio to record a second EP, Rebel Flag , released on the Iron Shock Independent label in August 2002. The EP features Shôgo Himuro on bass, Toshihiro Yui on drums, and Yoshinori Kataoka on keyboards (replacing A).

After this EP, the band turns even more. In 2003, they are invited to play at the Melodic Metal Festival in Japan with the Swedish group Dragonland>, and the Australian group Dungeon.

Galneryus is also invited to play on two metal compilations with other bands such as Masaki Project, Saber Tiger, and Mephistopheles. Galneryus plays the song Black Diamond (a cover of the song of the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius) on the compilation Stand Proud! III , and plays the song Soldier of Fortune (a cover of the Japanese group Loudness) on the compilation Japanese Heavy Metal Tribute Tamashii II . For these songs, they involve Toshihiro Yui on drums, Yusuke on bass, and Yuhki on keyboards. Both compilations are published in December 2002 at Iron Shock and distributed by the VAP label.
