Glamour of the kill

Glamor of the Kill , also known as GOTK , is a British metalcore band from York, England. On July 23, 2015, they announced their separation due to lack of money. It consisted of Davey Richmond (vocals and bass), Mike Kingswood (guitar), Chris Gomerson (guitar) and Ben Thomson (drums). They have a total of two studio albums, The Summoning (2011), and Savages (2013).

Glamor of the Kill was formed in January 2007. Their name is based on a phrase from the I am Hollywood song by the band He Is Legend. They release their first EP-demo Through the Dark They March the same year, and tour with bands like Bullet for My Valentine, Darkest Hour, Architects, and Avenged Sevenfold. In 2008, the band released their first album at the independent label Siege of Amida Records. Entitled Glamor of the Kill, it includes a rerecorded version of their hit song Rise from Your Grave, from their previous EP. The group later plays at the Download Festival.

The year 2009 is attending tours of the group with Escape the Fate and Wednesday 13. They also play in several festivals such as Sonisphere, a European festival organized for Metallica and Linkin Park. He then tour with DragonForce in the UK in winter. The song A Hope in Hell is included in the Dirt 2 video game.

In 2010, they play at the Eurosonic Festival, in the Netherlands, with support Yashin. The group also plays at the Powerfest, in Amsterdam, then at the Red Bull stage of the Download Festival. On October 28, 2010, the group announces its debut album The Summoning>. On November 13, 2010, a video of their first single, Feeling Alive, is released.
