Gracenote

The CDDB , for Compact Disc Data Base , ie database for compact disc (musical), groups together the set of useful information to fill ID3 tags of mp3, wma and Ogg Vorbis files.

Many encoder programs are able to connect to official CDDB servers, or those of the Freedb concurrent open source system.

To identify CDs, CDDB uses an identifier named DiscId that is identical to that of FreeDB.
