Graveworm

Graveworm Graveworm is an Italian symphonic black metal band from Brunico (Bolzano) in Trentino-Alto Adige. Graveworm is a black metal band that supports LGBT movements, not at the level of the lyrics of their music, but through commitments from the band members. The name Graveworm means "tombstone" in English.

Graveworm was formed in 1992 in Brunico by Italian and German members. Graveworm's first label is called Serenades Records, where in 1997 they recorded their first EP, Eternal Winds . During their first tours with Crematory, Therion and Lake of Tears, the band is promoting their album "When" Daylight's Gone . In 1998, The EP Underneath the Crescent Moon is recorded, with Sarah Jezebel Deva (Cradle of Filth, Therion) in the track Awake ... Thy Angels of Sorrow . Graveworm go to the Wacken Open Air (Germany) with bands like Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth and Vader. The second album As The Reach The Beauty Angels is finished in 1999, and is followed by a European tour with the band Agathodaimon.

Scourge of Malice is recorded in 2001. This album will trigger a real recognition of the band in the world of metal. In 2002, they pass on the German label Nuclear Blast Records. At this moment, Didi Schraffel (bass) leaves the band and Harry Klenk (guitar) is replaced by Eric Treffel. Treffel leaves the band the same year and is replaced by Eric Righi on guitar. The following year, the group released Engraved In Black which will unfortunately go relatively unnoticed in the symphonic extreme metal scene, because of the release of the albums < Dimmu Borgir's Death Cult Armageddon lang = "en"> Damnation And A Day Cradle of Filth.

In the course of 2005, the group released (N) Utopia which marks a certain turning point in their music: the Gothic elements are put there recessed for death influences. In 2007 the band released their studio album Collateral Defect . In August 2008, the group entered the studios to start producing a new album that came out in June of the year 2009, it is about Diabolical figures .
