Gronibard is a French grindcore band from Lille. Their pieces, with offbeat titles, generally quite short as is often the case in this style, contain a great majority of misogynist words quite advanced, with a side voluntarily "stupid" . Their first demo was a long noisy improvisation recorded in rehearsal. They usually perform in concert with their instruments for only clothes.
Members of Gronibard also officiate in a grindcore band called Warscars, but without their singer who did not want to continue the adventure. They recorded a mini-album and a split-album with Leng T'che, a Belgian grindcore band.
Gronibard was formed in 1998 in Lille, Nord-Pas-de-Calais>. The group, originally parodic, initially consists of members known under the stage names Godemichel, Albatard, Warscars, Anal Capone, and P'tite Bite.
In 2001, the band released its first studio album, Gronibard, consisting of 33 songs and sound samples from 1970s films. The album is well received by the specialized press, in particular Trashocore which testifies to the second degree of the group: "Pipi. Poop. Fart ! And other insanities of the sexual domain as a bonus. " In 2003, a candidate on the TV show In Search of the New Star sang the titles" Go Do the Dishes "and" Honey, "would you please dismiss the buttocks in front of the jury >>>.
