Group x

Group X is a British art movement that briefly existed in the years following the First World War.

Several of its members, including Wyndham Lewis, were part of the vorticist movement before the war. The group held a unique exhibition in 1920.

In 1920, former members of the pre-war vorticist movement abruptly left the London group The London Group . Six of these artists, Jessica Dismorr, Frederick Etchells, Cuthbert Hamilton, Lewis Wyndham, William Roberts and Edward Wadsworth, joined by sculptor Frank Dobson, Charles Ginner, Edward McKnight Kauffer and John Turnbull of the United States form the Group X .

The group exhibited from March 26 to April 24, 1920 at the Mansard Gallery in the Heal's store
