Jil is Lucky , whose real name is Jil Bensénior (born February 10, 1984, Nice) is a French-speaking French singer-songwriter.

He starts the guitar at a young age, and is found at age 12 to accompany his bass bass in the bars. He meets his future musicians in Prague, New York, Berlin and Sidi-bel-Abbes. They are now called The Memphis Deput (i) es. The Wanderer, the band's first song, marks the official birth of Jil Is Lucky; they released their first EP in January 2008.

The song I May Be Late is selected to be the official music of the 2008 Film Festival.
