Jim noir

Jim Noir (his real name Alan Roberts ) is an English singer-songwriter from Davyhulme, Manchester. His stage name is a tribute to Vic Reeves, whose real name is Jim Moir. He released two albums: Tower of Love released in 2005, and an eponymous album in 2008. Tower of Love, as well as all his previous models, were recorded at the home of Jim Noir's parents, in the suburbs of Davyhulme.

Jim Noir's music is described as psychedelic, electronic or pop. Black is sometimes compared to Beach Boys, Super Furry Animals, The Beta Band, or The Bees. He is also known for some eccentricity and his own dress style. He often wears a bowler hat. Noir is a man-orchestra, touching all the instruments during his recordings. He often invites musicians during his concerts.

Black is known for his singles Eanie Meany and My patch, which have been used as soundtracks in commercials for Adidas and Conforama.

Several titles of Jim Noir have appeared in television programs or have been adapted into advertisements.
