João Gilberto , by his full name João Gilberto Prado Pereira de Oliveira, is a Brazilian musician born on June 10, 1931 in Juazeiro in the state of Bahia and died on July 6, 2019> in Rio de Janeiro> .
He is considered the main creator of the bossa nova. In 1958, he won a great success in Brazil with the song Chega de saudade> but it was not until 1964 that his success became international with his interpretation of A Garota de Ipanema (The Girl From Ipanema), accompanied by Stan Getz . João Gilberto is born in the state of Bahia. His musical education is in his ear, one of his neighbors diffuses by loudspeaker placed in the main street of Juazeiro varied music which he enjoys>. At the age of 14, his grandfather gave him his first guitar. At the age of 18, he left his native village to go to the big city of Salvador de Bahia.
