Kabát is a Czech hard rock band from Teplice.
The group Kabát is formed by bassist Milan Špalek in Teplice in 1983 with his school friends. Singer Josef Vojtek, guitarist Tomáš Krulich and drummer Radek Hurčík join in his thrash metal period. In 1985, some members of the group left to do their military service, and Kabat stopped for about three years.
In 1989 and 1990, the band recorded its first demo called Orgazmus, which became popular only in the underground audio cassette scene. In 1991, Kabáti published his first album, Má jí motorovou, at Monitor.
