Karen Lee Orzolek , born November 22, 1978 in Busan, better known by her stage name Karen O , is the singer of the New York band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She has also composed movie soundtracks, such as Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are. She released her first solo album Crush Songs in September 2014.

Karen Lee Orzolek was born in Busan, a South Korean mother and a Polish father. The family then moved to the United States to live in the state of New Jersey in the city of Englewood. She is studying art at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York.

In her band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Karen O is quickly noticed for her unique vocal style. At the beginning of the group, the stage clothes are made by one of his friends, a stylist named Christian Joy. In 2014 she released a first solo album called Crush Songs. In 2015, she released I Shall Rise, the music of the video game Rise of the Tomb Raider.
