Laura Pausini , born May 16, 1974 in Faenza (Italy), is an Italian singer.
She made a name for herself in her homeland at the Sanremo Festival of 1993, with the song La Solitudine, and is successful in several European and Spanish-speaking countries, thanks to her many albums in Spanish, Portuguese and English, languages that she speaks fluently. She also sang some songs in French, including duets with French artists including Charles Aznavour, Johnny Hallyday and Hélène Segara.
Laura Pausini is the only Italian artist to win a Grammy Award and four Latin Grammy Awards. It has sold nearly 70 million records worldwide>.
She grew up in the small village of Solarolo, but was born in Faenza, because there is no hospital in Solarolo>.
