Lunatica is a Swiss symphonic metal band, Suhr, Aargau.
The band was formed in November 1998 by guitarist Sandro D'Incau and keyboardist Alex Seiberl. After a long search to find a singer, they finally discovered, in 2001, Andrea Dätwyler who is able to add a little something special to the group. She participates in the recording of Lunatica's first album, Atlantis. The latter has a great success> followed by several concerts and festivals. The group plays Metaldayz Festival>, the largest metal festival in Switzerland. Lunatica is selected> as "best new artist" and welcomes several new amateurs.
For the second album, Lunatica works with producer Sascha Paeth (Rhapsody, Kamelot, Angra, After Forever, Edguy and Heaven's Gate) . He is able to give the powerful sound that the training was looking for. On August 27, 2004, Lunatica signs a contract with Frontiers Records. They publish Fables and Dreams on October 18, 2004>.
In 2006, the group released its third album, The Edge of Infinity , which reached the> 76> place of the Swiss rankings>. The album includes the single Who You Are , including John Payne (Asia) and Oliver Hartmann (Avantasia)>. In April 2008, the band signs with Napalm Records>. They publish there their new album, New Shores , in 2009.
