Molly Hatchet is a Southern rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, founded in the early 1970s by Danny Joe Brown (vocals, harmonica, guitar), Dave Hlubeck, Duane Roland, Steve Holland (guitars) ), Banner Thomas (bass) and Bruce Crump (drums). The group's career culminated in 1979 with the release of his second album Flirtin 'with Disaster before inevitably declining in the 80s, the group being destabilized by many changes of musicians that will translate in the 90s by the absence of any musician resulting from the original formation of the group. Having joined Molly Hatchet in 2005, guitarist Dave Hlubeck was the only surviving musician from the band's original band who released his first self-titled album in 1978, but his death in September 2017 made Molly Hatchet a band that does not include in its ranks any other musician of his original formation and who can be considered no longer as a group in the classic sense of the word but as a brand exploited commercially.
