Mustasch is a Swedish heavy-rock band formed in autumn 1998 by Ralf Gyllenhammar, Hannes Hansson, Mats Hansson, and Mats Johansson in Gothenburg.

Mustasch was formed in Gothenburg (Sweden) in 1998 and recorded his first demo The Mustasch Farm on Orust Island. It is released in limited numbers by different record companies and labels worldwide. In 2001 they release their first EP The True Sound of the New West, which allows them to shoot in Sweden and to make themselves known by the scene "metal". The name of the group refers to the famous mustaches in rock history, namely Freddie Mercury (Queen), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), among others.

The band released the albums Above All (2002) and Rastafari (2003) which allowed them to be nominated for the Swedish Grammies. At the same time, the group is working intensively and building a good reputation. They record Powerhouse (2005) before changing labels to better manage the distribution of their records.
