My chemical romance

My Chemical Romance is an American alternative rock band from New Jersey. Active between 2001 and 2013>, it consisted of singer Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, bassist Mikey Way and keyboardist James Dewees.

Shortly after their formation, band members sign to the Eyeball Records record label and record their debut album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in 2002. They sign at Reprise Records the following year and market their best-selling album in "> Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" in 2004; the following year, the album is certified platinum>. The group surpasses its previous success in 2006 with the album The Black Parade , very favorably received among critics>. Their fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys , is released on November 10, 2010, and is also favorably received. The group announces its separation on March 22, 2013 on its official website.

The group is formed by Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pelissier approximately one week after the 9/11 attacks. Attending the plane crash on the World Trade Center disrupts Way's life, and he decides to found a group>. Way writes "Skylines and Turnstiles" to express what he feels about the attacks of September 11th, then Ray Toro is engaged because Way could not play on the guitar, nor sing at the same time. The name of the band is suggested by Mikey Way's band bassist, Gerard's younger brother, who worked at Barnes & Noble while he had in mind the title Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance . The group's first amateur singles included Our Lady of Sorrows (formerly Bring More Knives ) and Cubicles . After hearing these demos, Mikey Way decides to join the band. During their time at Eyeball Records, the group meets Frank Iero, singer and guitarist of the band Pencey Prep. After the separation of Pencey Prep in 2002, Iero becomes a member of My Chemical Romance, one day before the commercialization of their first official album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love . My Chemical Romance offers free downloads of their music on PureVolume> and on the social network Myspace, on which they will gain in popularity>.

After several months of intensive tours, the group eventually caught the attention of the record company Reprise Records, a division of Warner Records and recorded Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge , a second opus that was released in the spring of 2004, just in time for the group's first participation in the Vans Warped Tour. On this new album, Howard Benson (Less Than Jake, Motörhead, Hoobastank, Sepultura, Cold, etc.) was in charge of the production. Shortly after the release of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge , the drummer Matt Pelissier is fired from the group. He will be quickly replaced by Bob Bryar, who worked as a sound engineer with The Used. With the first single I'm Not Okay (I Promise) , the group attracts the attention of alternative radios and MTV which broadcasts the video constantly . Quickly, the singles Helena and The Ghost of You win in popularity and help to promote the training throughout the United States, where the album will be certified platinum with more than 1.4 million copies sold. The success of the album does not end there and it is sold everywhere around the world. In order to make their fans wait and enjoy their sudden popularity, the band released in April 2006 a live CD / DVD, Life on the Murder Scene , which includes two DVDs (a video diary and a disc of several unpublished performances) and a live CD.
