My sleeping karma

My Sleeping Karma is a German rock band from Aschaffenburg. He mixes psychedelic rock and stoner rock, with Indian sounds. One of the group features is that they do not have singing. The titles of the pieces, when named, represent names of Hindu deities.

Until 2006, bassist Matte and drummer Steffen play in the stoner rock band The Great Escape. After the singer leaves the band, the musicians continue as an instrumental band because he is engaged in festivals. The guitarist Seppi and the soundboarder Norman complete the group>. Due to the good reaction of the public, the band continues and signs with Elektrohasch Records. In 2006, the first self-titled album is released.

My Sleeping Karma plays instrumental rock. His music is generally referred to as psychedelic rock, the band is defined as "psychedelic groove rock" . His main influences are heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden and Slayer, or more modern as Tool.

Two years later, a second album Satya is released. The titles are inspired by the gods of Hinduism. The third album Tri is published in 2010. In June, Westdeutscher Rundfunk broadcasts the My Sleeping Karma concert in Cologne. The band plays the first part of Brant Bjork and then appears at the Hellfest festival.
