Natalia Oreiro , born in Montevideo on May 19, 1977, is an Uruguayan actress and singer.
Daughter of Carlos Oreiro Poggio and the painter Mabel Iglesias Bourie, she began her modeling career at the age of 12, recording nearly 30 commercials and being part of the paquitas troupe of the Brazilian singer Xuxa. At age 16, with the consent of her parents, she moved to Buenos Aires, where she began her career as an actress in telenovelas. In 1998 she starred in the film Un argentino a Nueva York. Since the second half of the 1990s she has also devoted herself to pop music, becoming the first Uruguayan candidate for a Grammy.
His career then gained prominence in Argentina, thanks to television commercials and successful telenovelas. Her career as a singer and actress of telenovelas has made her famous all over the world (especially in Eastern Europe). In 2002 she married Ricardo Mollo, leader of the Argentinean rock band Les Divididos.
