Nemesea

Nemesea Nemesea is a Dutch symphonic metal band from Groningen. Formed in 2002, the band is led by singer Manda Ophuis. Their musical style is strongly influenced by that of After Forever. The band was formed in September 2002 by singer Manda Ophuis and guitarist Hendrik Jan de Jong in Groningen, the Netherlands. They are then joined by Sonny Onderwater on bass. In April 2003, the group played its first concert in the first part of After Forever, and stayed for the rest of the year. They attract the interest of the labels, then signing at Ebony Tears in November 2003.

In November 2004, Nemesea released his first studio album, Mana (which means "the magic power of things, given by the gods"), then they shoot in the Netherlands and Belgium until December 2005. This allows them to to establish itself in the Gothic and European symphonic metal scene.

For their second album, Nemesea has talks with some majors, but they finally decide to make it by the Dutch crowdsourcing website Sellaband. They are the first band to raise over $ 50000 from his fans, and the album, called In Control , is released on June 21, 2007. It is mixed by Ronald Prent, and co-produced by Tony Platt.
