Nine black alps

Nine Black Alps is an independent, indie / grunge rock band from Manchester. Their name comes from a poem by Sylvia Plath.

Formed in 2004, the group signed Island Records released his first album "Everything is" in 2005 and an EP containing B-faces named Glitter Gulch in 2006. Their second studio album "Love / Hate" released in 2007 still on the same label that they will leave in 2008. The third album "Locked out from the Inside" produced by Dave Eringa should be released during autumn 2009. The single Buy Nothing from this new album has already been released.

The influences are diverse and range from Nirvana to Weezer through Foo Fighters, Pixies and Dinosaur Jr. The band has toured in northern Europe and America as well as Japan with artists such as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Weezer and Biffy Clyro. They are known for their energetic and anarchic live performances.
