Omnium gatherum

Omnium Gatherum is a Finnish melodic death metal band from Karhula. Formed in 1996, the band is currently signed at Lifeforce Records and has a total of four demos, one EP, and six studio albums over the course of its career. Beginning in melodic death metal, they have gradually moved towards a more progressive style, saying they are inspired by bands such as At the Gates, In Flames, Dissection, Dark Tranquility, but also Megadeth, among others.

After having released four demos, they signed to the Rage of Achilles label, Their first album, "Spirits and August Light" , was released in April 2003 via Rage of Achilles, which allows the group to become popular>. In spring 2006, the singer Antti Filppu is replaced by Jukka Pelkonen aka J>. Stuck Here on Snakes Way is OG's first album to involve J in singing; it is published in April 2007 after their British tour, and their signature on the label Candlelight Records. The album allows the band to shoot with Dark Tranquility, Caliban and Entombed, and reaches the 31> place>.

In August 2010, Omnium Gatherum announced its signature on Lifeforce Records for an upcoming album, and the departure of their friend and guitarist Harri Pikka. Omnium Gatherum then enters the studio to record his fifth album planned in 2011. The guitarist Markus Vanhala will take care of the guitar pieces. Mixing and mastering will be done again by Dan Swano>. New World Shadows , their fifth album, is released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on February 4, 2011, in Finland, Sweden and Hungary on February 9th, in the rest of Europe on February 7th, and in North America on March 1st. New World Shadows reaches fifth place in the Finnish rankings>. On 17 June 2011, the arrival of Joonas "Jope" Koto at Omnium Gatherum is announced, as second guitarist, to replace Harri Pikka, who will leave the group in 2010>.

On July 10, 2015, the group announces having completed a new album>.
