Owl city

Owl City is an American synthpop (one man band) band from Owatonna, Minnesota. He is trained by Adam Young in 2007.

Adam Young begins the music in 2007 >>>>> in the basement of his parents' home in Owatonna, a small town in Minnesota. He composes his music, especially under the software Reason >>> during his long nights of insomnia and puts them online on his profile MySpace >>>.

The singer recorded a first EP, entitled Of June, in 2007, then his first album, Maybe I'm Dreaming during the year 2008. These two works are self produced, before the singer signs with the label Universal Republic >. Also in 2007, Of June climbed to the top of the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart, while Maybe I'm Dreaming reached the 16> position the following year.

Young's influences are disco and European electronic music. Moreover, the name Owl City is inspired by a musical project of the same type (electronic music), Panda Bear who created a song called Owl City. After two independent albums, Owl City gained popularity in 2009 with the album Ocean Eyes, whose single Fireflies is ranked first in the United Kingdom for three weeks, as well as in the United States, Australia, Canada and several other European countries . The album is n> 8 of the Billboard and the single Fireflies n> 7>. The title Sunburn is present in the soundtrack of the series 90210 Beverly Hills: New Generation.
