Reamonn is a German pop rock band, whose members come from several European countries. After more than ten years of activity, the group decided to separate in 2010 after the release of a best-of titled Eleven.
The group is formed in 1999 in Germany. It is composed of an Irish singer (Raymond "Rea" Garvey) and four German musicians (Mike "Gomezz" Gommeringer (drums), Uwe Bossert (guitar), Sebastian "Sebi" Padotzke (multi-instruments) and Philipp "Phil" Rauenbusch (bass)), which ended in late 1998, with a huge desire to make music together.
The quintet makes its debut on stage, where they offer a mix of rock and pop (pop rock) with an extraordinary punch. After six months of constant live, Reamonn is noticed by Virgin, who signs a contract. Tuesday, the first album, released in late 2000 in Germany and knows from its release a huge success, where it beats all sales records, reaching the top of the charts.
The success spreads throughout Europe (Portugal, Ireland, etc.) but very little in France despite a timid start broadcast in 2006 on Europe 2. In 2006 always, they invite Lucie Silvas to sing with them The only ones. They also premiered during Nelly Furtado's last tour.
