Royal hunt

Royal Hunt is a progressive Danish metal band from Copenhagen. They have more than one million albums sold worldwide. Between 1992 and 2015, Royal Hunt has 13 studio albums and four live albums. In late 2017, the group announces the release of a new album entitled Cast in Stone.

The band was formed in 1989 by keyboardist Andre Andersen. He is known for his melodic music with a progressive and symphonic touch, and enjoyed significant success in the 1990s with singer D.C. Cooper on the albums Moving Target and Paradox, especially in Japan and Europe. The formation knows several changes of personnel during its history.

Brockmann left the group in December 1994 after the release of Clown in the Mirror, and was replaced by D.C. Cooper. With this formation, the group visits for the first time the United States, playing in opening act of Warrant.

The band's third studio album, Moving Target, is released. The title Far Away, dedicated to the victims of the Kobe earthquake in 1995, reaches the top of the Japanese rankings>. During their European tour, with the Swiss group Gotthard, Olsen finds himself unable to play because of pneumonia. Shortly after, he is diagnosed with tinnitus. The group then recruits Allen Sørensen as a substitute. In 36 hours, he leaves for Switzerland, repeats with the band and plays on stage>.
