Saigon kick

Saigon Kick is an American heavy metal band from Miami, Florida. The group is active during a first period, between 1988 and 2000. After its separation, the group returns twelve years later, in 2012.

Saigon Kick was formed in 1988 in Miami, Florida by Jason Bieler (guitars), Matt Kramer (vocals), Phil Varone (drums) and Tom Defile (bass). Regularly skating clubs in the region, the group was signed by the Atlantic Records label in 1990. In 1991 released his first self-titled album and the band can shoot with bands like Cheap Trick and King's X.

In 1992, the band returned to the studio to record their second album, The Lizard. The album quickly knows the success thanks to the single that is extracted, Love is on the Way, which is, like the album, certified gold record in the United States. Before the band goes on tour, especially with the band Extreme, bassist Tom Defile is replaced by Chris McLernon.

Before the recording of their third album, Water, Matt Kramer also leaves the band. Jason Bieler then decides to perform the singing at the same time as the guitar parts. Nevertheless after the release of the album, Pete Dembrowski joined the group for the tour. Saigon Kick will tour intensively during the years 1994 and 1995 in support of their fourth album, Devil in the Details, and in 1996. However, it will never reach the success of The Lizard again and separate
