Secondhand serenade

Secondhand Serenade is an acoustic rock band from Menlo Park, California. It is formed by only one member, John Vesely (born February 5, 1982), who sings and plays guitar and piano.

In 2004, Vesely left the alternative rock band " Sounds Like Life " to begin his personal project. He started writing and playing his songs as Secondhand Serenade . He rented a studio for 8 days and recorded the 10 songs that appear today on the album Awake . Then Vesely did his own advertising on MySpace and PureVolume and started selling his first albums via his MySpace profile. He quickly reached the list of "Top Unsigned Artists", and even the Top 100 of iTunes.

Since then, he has signed a contract with Glassnote Records, created by Daniel Glass. In total, Secondhand Serenade has sold approximately 73,000 digital titles and more than 10,000 copies of its Awake album, according to Nielson SoundScan. After launching Awake on February 6, 2007, with 2 bonus songs, he started the "Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart" at number 16.

The album A Twist In My Story was released on February 19, 2008 in the United States and France.
