Shinedown is an American hard rock band from Jacksonville, Florida. The group was formed in early 2001, and signed a contract with the Atlantic Records label in 2002. Shinedown counts, in 2018, a total of six studio albums including Leave a Whisper (2003), Us and Them in (2005), The Sound of Madness in (2008), Amaryllis (2012), Threat To Survival (2015) and < span class = "lang-en" lang = "en"> Warning Caution (2018).
They participate, among others, in the soundtrack of the movie Expendables: Special Unit by making the song of the trailer, entitled Diamond Eyes . Their song Devour from the album The Sound of Madness is found at the beginning of the movie Destination finale 4. Shinedown has more than eight million albums sold worldwide.
Leave a Whisper is the first album of the band, released in July 2003. It includes success tracks such as Fly From the Inside , Burning Bright , 45 or the cover of Simple Man of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
In 2004, the band released a live DVD of the album entitled Live from the Inside , recorded in their final concert of Leave a Whisper , DVD that also contains a documentary. Live From the Inside
