Sonic Death (the full name is Sonic Death: Sonic Youth Live - Early Sonics 1981-1983) is an album of the band Sonic Youth released in 1984 on the Ecstatic Peace !, and then reissued in 1987 by the SST label; the disc is not currently edited. The disc is actually a collage of extracts of live pieces recorded by Thurston Moore on a tape recorder during the first 3 years of the band, which is why there are only 2 tracks of approximately 30 minutes each, and that almost no song is complete.
