Sonic Syndicate is a Swedish metalcore band from Falkenberg. The group is initially formed in 2002 under the name of Fallen Angels. It is in 2005 that they change their name for Sonic Syndicate. Their main influences of melodic death metal bands include In Flames or Soilwork>. Their latest album tends to move towards modern rock while retaining some characteristics of metalcore.
The Swedish band was formed in 2002 under the name of Fallen Angels by Richard and Roger Sjunnesson, two brothers, and their little cousin Robin Sjunnesson. They record three demos Fall from Heaven , Black Lotus , and Extinction before signing with Pivotal Rockordings in 2005>. After that, they change the name of the band to Sonic Syndicate and record their first studio album, Eden Fire .
The group begins a tour Eden Fire across Sweden, alongside groups such as Avatar. During their tour with Avatar, drummer Kristoffer Bäcklund left the group in February 2006 and was replaced by John Bengtsson. It was also in 2006 that the keyboardist left the group while a second singer joined Roland Johansson. In November 2007, they begin a new tour with Himsa and Amon Amarth. Later in 2008, they will shoot with Nightwish.
In 2006, the band participated in a big contest organized by Nuclear Blast. This contest will bring together more than 1,500 bands, but Sonic Syndicate is one of three winners and is offered a Nuclear Blast contract.
The successor of Eden Fire is produced by Jonas Kjellgren of Scar Symmetry. Only Inhuman , this is his name, is released on May 18, 2007 and the band is released soon after its first clip, Denied , from the album and produced by Patric Ullaeus.
