Susperia

Susperia Susperia is a Norwegian black and thrash metal band from Haslum. Susperia is not a satanic group, although the lyrics question the respectable view of Christendom >>>.

The group was formed in October 1998> in Haslum>, when Tjodalv, who was then drummer in the symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, shares his ideas with Cyrus, who will take the role of guitarist. Basically, the group was called Seven Sins, but when they discovered that another group had that name, they decided to change it. So they choose the name of Susperia in reference to the horror movie Suspiria . However, they have slightly changed the spelling to avoid any copyright issues. In 2000, the band recorded their first demo entitled "Illusions of Evil" .

Susperia signs to the Nuclear Blast> label, and publishes a first studio album, Predominance, recorded at Abyss Studios. The band then goes on tour with In Flames, Nevermore, Lacuna Coil and Dimmu Borgir. The band's second album, Vindication, was released in 2002, still recorded by Abyss. Susperia leaves Nuclear Blast, accusing them of a lack of involvement in promoting the album. At the end of 2003, Susperia signed with Tabu Recordings, a Norwegian label, and planned to release a new album, entitled for Unlimited for February 2004 >. Once released, the reception for this album is better than for previous releases.

In September 2005, Susperia publishes the EP Devil May Care , which reaches the 19> and 21> place of the Norwegian rankings >>>. At the end of 2005, Susperia plans a brief European tour after the release of Devil May Care>.
