Tanzwut

Tanzwut is a group of German Neue Deutsche Härte, originally from Berlin. Formed in 1996, he is the alter ego of the medieval music group Corvus Corax, with a more electronic orientation. The group is experiencing a worldwide breakthrough: in Mexico, for example, huge concert halls are often packed. Their first album is produced by Jon Caffery (de) , also producer of Toten Hosen.

Tanzwut is particularly skilled in the recipe for live performances: sumptuous scenes and costumes as well as choreographies that immerse the viewer in the medieval world. The sign of recognition of the group is a devil (Teufel): although bald, it has two small red horns on the flanks of his skull.

The name Tanzwut means in French the dancing mania. The group is initially formed in 1997 by members of Corvus Corax. In March 1999, the first album of the group, eponymous, is published on the label Electrola, a branch of EMI. The album is produced by Jon Caffery, also producer of Die Toten Hosen.

In December 2006, the group is confirmed for the tenth edition of the Summer Breeze Festival, held from 16 to 18 August 2007 in Dinkelsbühl>.
