The amity affliction

The Amity Affliction is an Australian post-hardcore and metalcore band from Gympie, Queensland. Formed in 2003, the group's band consisted of Troy Brady (lead guitar), Ahren Stringer (bass, vocals), Joel Birch (vocals), Ryan Burt (drums, percussion) and Dan Brown (rhythm guitar). . Since his formation, The Amity Affliction has recorded four studio albums, "Severed Ties" , released in 2008, Youngbloods in 2010, which started in the 6th place of the ARIA ranking, in 2012, which started first at the 2012 ARIA ranking, in"> Chasing Ghosts ARIA, and Let's Take The Ocean Take Me in 2014. They come back in 2016 with a new album called This Could Be Heartbreak .

The Amity Affliction is set up in Gympie, near Brisbane >>>, a town in southwestern Queensland, Australia, by Ahren Stringer and Troy Brady during their senior year in high school. The group is named in honor of one of their friends, who died in a car accident at age 17 >>>. Amity refers to friendship and Affliction indicates the grief that the group endured upon the death of his friend. In 2004, The Amity Affliction released a demo of three tracks. At that time, two other members accompany them: Garth Buchanan on bass and Lachlan Faulkner on drums. At the end of 2004, singer Joel Birch joined the group. Mid-2005, The Amity Affliction released its first eponymous EP. They then tour the East Coast Tour in 2005.

In 2007, their formation changed when Lachlan Faulkner left the group, along with Garth Buchanan, who joined the group Behind Crimson Eyes. Lachlan Faulkner later joined Saint Lucia. The group hires drummer Troels Thomasson, guitarist Chris Burt (originally bassist), and keyboardist Trad Nathan; Ahren Stringer will be on bass. The Amity Affliction releases a new EP of five tracks High Hopes .

The band released their first studio album in 2008, entitled Severed Ties . The album reaches 26> place of the ARIA ranking for a week>. This is the first album to feature Chris Burts' brother Ryan Burt on drums. During May 2009, they participate in the Final Tour of The Getaway Plan alongside Elora Danan. The Amity Affliction began touring Australia in 2009. He also participated in the 2009 Stairway to Hell Tour alongside We Are the Ocean and the Melbourne group, Hopeless >>>.
