The Bees

The Bees , known in the United States as A Band of Bees , is a British independent rock band from Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. in England. Their musical style is often referred to as independent rock, although there are many influences from 1960s rock, country music, reggae and jazz.

The Bees have three albums: Sunshine Hit Me in 2002, nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. This first production, recorded in the garden hut of the leader of the group, is very well received by critics. In 2004, Free the Bees appeared at Major Virgin, followed in 2007 by Octopus.
