The Binding of Isaac is an independent action-adventure game created by Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl. It was released on September 28, 2011 on Steam. Over the course of the adventure, he will nevertheless obtain weapons that, combined, allow to offer a wide variety of gameplay.
The general visual atmosphere is gore, unhealthy and morbid by the presence of dismembered bodies, fetuses, excrement or monsters representing organs, but nevertheless attractive by the choice of a cartoon representation of the various sets and protagonists. The music is composed by Danny Baranowsky and is reminiscent of that of Super Meat Boy which he is also the author.
An extension, The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb , adding new items, monsters and dungeons also came out on May 28, 2012 to make the game more complete and difficult. A remake titled The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth was released on November 4, 2014, using the same concept but with more content and new modes.
